Originating from the great Trường Sơn mountain range, this natural waterfall system is made up of 25 falls of varying sizes and shapes, weaving through deep ravines and cliffs across 5 km within the destination.
Surrounding the waterfall system is a forest ecosystem spanning over 120 hectares, preserved in near-pristine condition with a rich, diverse plant cover. It highlights the wild, majestic beauty of Dong Giang Heaven's Gate's natural landscape, where mountain and water come together in perfect harmony.
Each waterfall has its own shape, sound, and story. Fairy Waterfall (Thác Tiên) is the first — and most beautiful — in the system; every summer, wild A Pô Sô flowers (a type of local shrub) bloom bright red along both sides of the falls. Following the stream further, visitors come across other striking waterfalls, including Dragon's Egg Waterfall, tied to the legend of a sacred dragon laying its eggs — a story still traced today in the smooth, rounded river stones naturally arranged along the falls' basin.
Notably, locals have given each waterfall an affectionate name rooted in Cơ Tu culture — names like A Tút (torch tree), Ba Bê, A Liêng (heartwood), Tơ Rang Bhót (monkey dwelling place), Trakir (wild olive fruit), and Cruôl (wild banana). Each name is a small story about the mountains and forest, a piece of culture passed down through generations.
With 25 falls of varying sizes, striking natural beauty, and a deep connection to the local ecosystem, the site was officially certified by the Vietnam Record Association (Da Nang, November 28, 2022) as "The Ecotourism Site with the Most Natural Waterfalls in Vietnam."
