Standing on Phượng Hoàng Mountain, the Cơ Tu Child Statue is a new symbol honoring and celebrating Co Tu culture, embodying the beauty and aspiration of the local people and land. Measuring an impressive 15 meters long, 7 meters wide, and 5 meters tall, it stands right in front of the departure station. Inspired by traditional Cơ Tu sculpture, the statue portrays a child with a bright, innocent face amid the vast mountains and forest.
With bold, rugged, block-like forms reminiscent of traditional Cơ Tu carving, every line of the statue carries the culture and worldview of the highland people.
The statue is rendered in two colors: indigo black, symbolizing mother earth, and red, symbolizing the sun — together representing the union of heaven and earth, and the flourishing of life.
More than a striking work of art, it's a masterpiece that lets visitors feel the depth of Cơ Tu culture and the spirit of the land amid the mighty Trường Sơn range.
